What we collect, and why
We collect what you type into the survey request form, and — if you choose to take part — what you submit through Robin Watch. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies, and there is no tracking on this site of any kind.

Robin Watch
Logging a robin is entirely optional. If you do, we collect the postcode you give (so we can show which village or town it was in), what the robin was doing, any note you write, your first name if you offer it, and a photograph if you attach one. A person reviews every report before anything is published. What appears on the public map is only ever the village or town, the activity, the month and your first name — never your postcode, your exact location or your photograph, which stay with the review team. Reports we cannot place or do not publish are deleted in our periodic reviews. Approved sightings may also be shared, as a village name and nothing finer, with national wildlife recording schemes such as iRecord so they can contribute to conservation research.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will stop contacting you and delete your enquiry.
If you go on to become a customer, we hold your details on the basis of the contract between us, and to meet our legal obligations such as keeping accounting records.
Who sees it
Only Complete Exterior Care staff. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing.
Your enquiry is stored in our business system, which is hosted by Supabase on servers in Ireland, and this website is hosted by Vercel. Both act as processors on our behalf and cannot use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: deleted within 12 months.
- Customer records: kept for the duration of the relationship, then for six years afterwards to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements.
Photographs
We photograph the properties we work on to record our own work. We ask for your permission before using any photograph of your property in marketing, including on this website and on social media. You can refuse, or change your mind later, and it will not affect the service you get.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, and no consent banner is needed because there is nothing to consent to.
