Handyman jobs and flat-pack assembly
Some jobs sit on the list for months: a wardrobe still in its box, a curtain pole leaning in the corner, a fence panel that came down in the last gale. If it needs a drill, a spirit level and some patience, ask us.
Flat-pack and wardrobe assembly
We build wardrobes, beds, chests of drawers, desks and garden furniture from any shop, online or on the high street. We bring our own tools, follow the instructions properly, and fit the wall strap that comes with tall furniture, so it's far less likely to tip forward. At the end we flatten the packaging and stack it by your recycling bin.
Other handyman jobs
We don't do electrical, gas or plumbing work that needs a qualified engineer. If your job needs one, we'll tell you.
- Curtain poles, curtain tracks and blinds
- Shelves, mirrors and pictures
- Flat-pack sheds, and fence panels replaced or refitted
- Small repairs to doors, handles and hinges
What affects the price
Flat-pack assembly starts from £75 for a single large item, such as a double wardrobe or a bed frame. Smaller items cost less to add to the same visit. Other handyman jobs are priced per job once we know what's involved.
- The size of the item. A sliding-door wardrobe takes far longer than a bedside table.
- How many items, and whether they can be done in the same visit.
- Stairs, tight landings and low or sloping ceilings.
- What the wall is made of. Brick, plasterboard and old plaster each need different fixings.
On the day
When you ask for a quote, send us the product name or a link: it tells us how long the build takes. If you can, have the boxes in the room the furniture is going in. We'll put down dust sheets, build it, fix it to the wall where it needs it, and check the doors and drawers run properly before we go.

Questions
Can you build furniture I bought online?
Yes, from any shop. Send us the link or product code so we can check the instructions and price it properly.
Will you fix a wardrobe to the wall?
Yes. Tall furniture usually comes with a wall strap to help stop it tipping, and we fit it. On plasterboard we use the right fixings, or show you where it can safely go.
Is one curtain pole too small a job?
No. It's often worth adding another small job to the same visit, so the trip is worthwhile for you.
Do you fit light fittings or sockets?
No. That needs a qualified electrician.
